Privacy Policy

Retire If is a simple retirement planning and exploration tool. You can use the current calculator without creating an account or connecting a financial account.

Calculator data

Retire If stores the calculator information needed to save your Money Map and make it available again in the same browser. That includes the income, expense, and starting-reserve figures you enter. An opaque browser token is used to retrieve the saved Money Map; it is not a user account.

The current calculator does not use Plaid or any other financial-account aggregation service. It does not ask for bank usernames or passwords and does not connect to bank, investment, or credit-card accounts.

Social Security tool

The Social Security Decision Calculator runs in your browser. Its answers are not saved to Retire If servers. Interaction-only analytics measure use of the tool, not your answers or recommendations. This is separate from the saved Money Map.

Analytics

Retire If uses Google Analytics for aggregate traffic, acquisition, device, and product-usage measurement. Actual calculator financial amounts are intentionally not sent to Google Analytics. Money Map tokens, board identifiers, and database identifiers are also not sent to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization, session replay, keystroke capture, and screen recording are not used.

Interaction events record tool views, starts, completed Social Security snapshots, review-answer clicks, tool-link clicks, and budget engagement. Budget interaction events may identify the control category, never its entered value. We do not send age, benefits, earnings, health or family selections, income, expenses, savings, free-form text, or personalized recommendation details in these events.

Google Analytics uses analytics cookies and technical browser/session information. Our analytics loader respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Our page-view payloads omit unapproved query parameters and URL fragments; approved YouTube campaign labels are retained. Ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization are denied. No new advertising or session-recording service is used.

Technical information and sharing

Hosting, database, and analytics providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, request timing, and pages visited as needed to operate, secure, and measure the service. Retire If does not sell your financial or calculator information.

Security and changes

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect the service and stored calculator data. No online service can guarantee absolute security. This policy may change as Retire If evolves; the effective date above will be updated when it does.
